Abstract
MIRANDA BASTIDAS, Carlos Alberto. The Actuality of Mystical Delusions, in the contemporary semiology. . rev.colomb.psiquiatr. [online]. 2004, vol.33, n.2, pp.172-181. ISSN 0034-7450.
In actual semiological considerations, there is a superficiality that has taken to the disfiguration of concepts, related to this field of knowledge. This paper tries to account the actuality of mystical delusions and its nosological value as a symptom, starting from the mystical experiences and abnormal sensorial states that belong to them, until the psychotic phenomena are reached. It is postulated that in order to talk about Mystical delusion, the person's experience of a revelation and a mission must be documented; and be established as diagnostic criteria: the fascination upon the revelation, subjective feeling of clear and enough understanding of it, the abandon of ways of live uninvolved with the mission, that the revelation implies, and the adoption of a behavior totally involved with the message; that is the enactment of the mission.
Keywords : Mystic delusion; mysticism; semiology.
