Abstract

VINOLO, Stéphane. JEAN-LUC MARION: WRITING THE ABSENCE. THE "THEOLOGICAL TURN" AS THE PROSPECT OF PHILOSOPHY. Escritos - Fac. Filos. Let. Univ. Pontif. Bolivar. [online]. 2012, vol.20, n.45, pp.275-304. ISSN 0120-1263.

Of the philosophers who belong to the "Theological Turn", Jen-Luc Marion is probably the one who best has followed Heidegger's idea of a radical phenomenology: a phenomenology of the unapparent. He has done this by introducing in phenomenality the so called "saturated phenomena", which has brought him into the center of the debate. As a response to his critics, this paper exhibits that such broadening of phenomenality does not come necessarily from a theological will, but from a necessity to release phenomenality from the paradigm of the view in favor of a paradigm of saying. Bearing this in mind, an effort of reconciling Phenomenology with Analytical Philosophy is undertaken.

Keywords : Phenomenology; Presence; Absence; Idol; Icon.
