Abstract

CARDOZO, ÓSCAR ARNULFO. AN ETHNOGRAPHIC APPROACH TO THE LIFE EX-COMBATENTS SETTLED IN THE TERRITORIAL SPACE OF TRAINING AND REINCORPORATION (ETCR) OF MONTERREDONDO, NORTH OF CAUCA. Maguare [online]. 2022, vol.36, n.2, pp.21-50.  Epub Dec 23, 2022. ISSN 0120-3045.  https://doi.org/10.15446/mag.v36n2.102860.

Based on field visits to the Territorial Training and Reincorporation Space (ETCR) of Monterredondo in the municipality of Miranda (Cauca) between 2018 and 2022, this article explores from an ethonographic approach the daily lives of some ex-FARC combatants in the framework of the transition towards peace. I focus mainly on four narrative aspects that I consider relevant: the return to educational training, the role of women in the transition, encounters with relatives non seen for a long time, and fears about peace. Each one of these aspects, in turn, is crossed by a visible element: the subjectivities related to the "Farian identity" (FARC-related identity). Finally, I examine the current situation and the difficulties entailed by the peace process in this ETCR.

Keywords : ETCR (Territorial Training and Reincorporation Space); ex-combatants; Farian identity; peace; transition.
