Abstract

VIKTOROVICH SADIKOV, ALEXANDER. History of translation as a theoretical discipline. Forma funcion, Santaf, de Bogot, D.C. [online]. 2005, n.18, pp.197-214. ISSN 0120-338X.

The author intends to lay out and design the principal areas of the problematic theory of the history of translation, an interdisciplinary area which has formed and taken on more and more independence during the last years. This has obliged researchers to restate and reconsider some of the 'eternal' problems of the philosophy of language, semiotics, the history of literature, and more specifically the problem of the role translation has played (in its multiple forms and functions) in the destiny of the European civilization.

Keywords : variedad lingüística; teoría de la traducción; escritura; contacto de lenguas; comunicación trascultural.
