Abstract
MONTOYA-ARAQUE, Exneyder A. and SUAREZ-BURGOA, Ludger O.. Application software in Python 3 for calculating the second-order tensors Jelínek’s statistics in anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility data. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2018, n.44, pp.49-58. ISSN 0120-3630. https://doi.org/10.15446/rbct.n44.70973.
In this paper, the statistics applied to second-order tensors is dealt, specifically the Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility tensors under the methodology proposed by Jelínek in [1] on tensorial statistic. For understanding the mathematics implicit in the calculi totally, that methodology was developed in a computational code written in the language Python 3 which is available in the software repositorium GitHub whit the name of jelinekstat; from there, it can be acquired, studied, modified, improved or extended. The code was validated with the outcomes presented in the study of [2], where deformational and depositional events in the Upper Member of the Amagá formation in the department of Antioquia (Colombia) were interpreted and analyzed. Since it is an open-source and practical tool, the code can be used in the academy, research and industry.
