Abstract
GAHONA-FLORES, Orlando. Quality assessment in the supply chain of copper mining in Chile. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2020, n.48, pp.5-11. Epub Feb 01, 2022. ISSN 0120-3630. https://doi.org/10.15446/rbct.n48.88668.
The objective of this research is to generate new knowledge on the assessment of quality in the supply chain of copper mining located in the Antofagasta region in Chile, through the information obtained in the application of a survey to managers of the mining companies in 2018 and deliver recommendations that allow obtaining higher levels of productivity and efficiency in said industry. The results of the investigation show a high assessment of quality by mining companies. Notwithstanding the foregoing, there is also evidence of a lower assessment of the certification of quality standards, such as ISO 9001 and 14001, which generates a discussion on the contribution and validity of quality standards in the development and growth of the mining business.
