Main forms of health service trading are analysed alongside their main obstacles. Data from Colombia and the United States are used to see if the former has any advantage over the latter. The paper concludes that an advantage does exist, but it is necessary to create additional incentives in other sectors Health services in free trade agreements: the Colombian case in order to enhance the use of Colombian health resources by nationals from other countries.
