Abstract

Nutrition plays a valuable role in the face of infection by the new coronavirus 2019 (covid-19) both for prevention and treatment, particularly in older adult patients due to their increased risk of developing malnutrition, which could cause various complications related to covid-19, especially during the hospitalization period or, where appropriate, in the Intensive Care Unit. Nutritional therapy must be considered and implemented by health personnel in an appropriate way. The objective of this review is to provide relevant information regarding nutritional intervention in different clinical fields for the management of older adults with covid-19 infection.
