This article makes a critical analysis about the possibility of award intra-family torts for violence or abuse in Colombian law. Civil law solutions are compared as alimony after divorce, or compensatory pension, conceived in other legal systems, to conclude that civil liability is the ideal instrument to repair intra-family torts for violence.
