Abstract

GARCIA-AYALA, Natanael. Educational Praxis and Labor-Value. Critical Problematization of the Competence-Based Educational Model from Our America. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2021, n.83, e205.  Epub Aug 06, 2022. ISSN 0120-3916.  https://doi.org/10.17227/rce.num83-10774.

To avoid commonplaces, this article focuses on the need to continue the critical problematization of the competence-based educational model to clarify the concepts and categories which articulate its discursive practices. Thus, from the labor-value theory, the paper accounts for the implications of an economic pseudopedagogical model that promotes the dehistoricization, desubjectivization and decontextualization as regulatory principles of educational praxis. If competencies-considered the new currency of the twenty-first century-are inscribed in a radicalization of the negative effects of the neoliberal economic system-as stated in this article-, the theory of labor-value is an analytical-critical adjuvant for de-structuring them. That is to say, to recognize the educational issues outside the "epistemology without knowing subject" and the "anthropology without a subject".

Keywords : Neoliberalism; systems development; competency-based education; currency; labor value.
