Abstract

FERNANDEZ VEGA, José. Global art. Prax. filos. [online]. 2009, n.29, pp.101-112. ISSN 0120-4688.

A sense crisis seems to have been affecting relevant artistic institutions as the Biennals (beginning with those more emblematic, the Venice Biennal and the Sao Paulo one), after having impacted the very works of art along the XXth century, and particularly during the 1960s. Exploring these transformations, this article detects a kind of "theorical turn" in the art world as a response to the crisis and seeks to characterize it through a comparation with some trends of the Modern political and cultural tradition of the XIXth century.

Keywords : Art; Aesthetics; Global Culture; Meaning; Crisis.
