Abstract

HELER, Mario. Knowledge Management: Some Questions over Knowledge Assumptions. Prax. filos. [online]. 2010, n.30, pp.107-126. ISSN 0120-4688.

Today the administration sciences are concerned about knowledge as a grateful factor of value process of organizations immersed in the so called knowledge society. The management of knowledge occupies a first place as it will be in charge of obtaining the most possible benefits not only from the disposable knowledge but from that that will be produced as well. But, because it is based on the old but present knowledge conception, this management carries assumptions that present difficulties and inconsistencies and lead to false problems. My intention is to propose an alternative way of conceiving knowledge that not give as an assumption that it consists in a representation which is in mind but that can be storaged in different supports without missing value. From this point I will be able to develop a critical reflection on knowledge management. It may be open possibilities to establish a critical difference in their proposals and activities attending to the diversity of processes and peculiarities of our societies and organizations.

Keywords : Knowledge management; Social Philosophy; knowledge; social practice; know about; know for.
