Abstract

LLORENTE CARDO, Jaime. Spinoza as Ontotheologist: A Step Beyond Michel Henry’s Interpretation. Prax. filos. [online]. 2019, n.48, pp.97-118. ISSN 0120-4688.  https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i48.7158.

The present work focuses on an interpretation of Spinoza´s metaphysics as ontotheology driven by the hidden will to acheive the happiness of the individual subject. Following the hermeneutical line pointed by Michel Henry in his earliest academical study, we try to lead the interpretation of Spinoza´s ontotheology to a perspective in which the ultimate goal of the affirmation of the Absolute is the desire to guarantee the safe residence of man within the whole of the objectively given world, that is the reconciliation between finite subjectivity and the cosmos.

Keywords : Absolute; Ontotheology; Reconciliation; Security; Happiness.
