Abstract
ABEIJON, Matías. Psychology, Psychoanalysis and Sense. Conceptual Relations Between Michel Foucault and Georges Politzer. Prax. filos. [online]. 2022, n.54, pp.179-198. Epub Mar 09, 2022. ISSN 0120-4688. https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i54.11939.
The objective of the research presented is to analyze theoretically and historically the intersections between psychology, psychoanalysis and philosophy in Michel Foucault’s early production, “La psychologie de 1850 à 1950”. It aims to perform a theoretical analysis of the arguments that support a series of evaluative postulates and critiques of psychology and psychoanalysis. In turn, these arguments have an origin in George Politzer’s book, Critique des fondements de la psychologie. It argues that Michel Foucault draws on the works of Politzer to develop the concept of sense that grounds psychoanalysis and contemporary psychologies.
