Abstract

GARCIA-HUIDOBRO ANDREWS, Vicente. SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON THE THERAPEUTIC CHARACTER OF PHILOSOPHY IN WITTGENSTEIN AND HEIDEGGER. Univ. philos. [online]. 2013, vol.30, n.60, pp.139-160. ISSN 0120-5323.

The purpose of this article is to state some considerations regarding the therapeutic character of philosophy in Heidegger and Wittgenstein. To this end, I treat each separately on two fundamental points: a) negativity aspects in their idea of philosophy and b) positive outcome of the philosophical practice. To conclude, I present a brief summary of the contents reviewed in which I compare the meaning and scope of the therapeutic aspects in the philosophy of both.

Keywords : Philosophy; therapy; transformation; Wittgenstein; Heidegger.
