Abstract Homophobia describes as a negative attitude toward homosexual persons. Several studies report high level of homophobia among university student, including social work. To estimate the level of homophobia among social work students. A systematic review was carried out of available articles in Ebsco, Imbiomed, Lilacs, MedLine, Ovid, and ProQuest. Articles in English, Portuguese and Spanish, between 1999 and 2009, were included. The key words were "homophobia", "homosexuality", "social work" and "students". Descriptive analysis was done. A total of three articles were reviewed. Between 6.5 and 77.4% of students reported high level of homophobia. At least one out of fifteen social work students reports high level of homophobia. In Colombian social work student is necessary to explore the level of homophobia. Homosexuality, Attitude, Prejudice, Students, Social work, Review.
