Abstract
VARGAS DIAZ, Daniel Ricardo. THE CONCEPT OF VICTIM WITHIN INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURTS. Prolegómenos [online]. 2013, vol.16, n.32, pp.87-103. ISSN 0121-182X. https://doi.org/10.18359/dere.756.
The main objective of this study is to analyze the similarities and differences that arise inside international criminal courts regarding the concept of victim, as opposed to the provisions established by the International Human Rights Law. A qualitative research applied throughout the project concluded that, in spite of the differences in the interpretation that each Court gives to the concept of victim, they strive to grant the victims a position that upholds the law within an established criminal process, approaching what is instituted by the jurisprudence of Regional Human Rights Courts.
Keywords : Concept of Victim; International Criminal Courts; Human Rights; Inter-American Human Rights System.
