Abstract

SILVA BRICENO, Orlando. Historical Research of School Subjects and Knowledge: The Case of Social Sciences Teaching in Colombia. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2018, n.49, pp.81-93. ISSN 0121-2494.

This article synthesizes the methodological developments derived from a doctoral thesis on the history of social sciences teaching in Colombia, in the context of the emergence of the history of school subjects and knowledge as a field of research. The paper presents as contributions for the study of this field five sections on the methodological aspects of the research process: 1) the definition of the object of inquiry; 2) the analytical look; 3) the methodological option; 4) the levels of analysis; 5) temporalities and periodization resulting from the historical view of social sciences in school.
