Abstract

SAMPER DE CAICEDO, Carmen Inés; PERRY, Patricia; CAMARGO, Leonor  and  MOLINA, Óscar. An example of the articulation of logic and dynamic Geometry in a plane Geometry course. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2012, n.32, pp.125-139. ISSN 0121-3814.

In this paper we present our point of view with respect to the role of mathematical logic in the teaching and learning of proof. We illustrate how to introduce topics of logic in a geometry course. To do so, we rely on results obtained during the workshop developed during the 20º Encuentro de Geometría y sus Aplicaciones. We present examples where dynamic geometry becomes a context that favors the suggested approach to mathematical logic.

Keywords : Mathematical logic; dynamic geometry; teacher training; teaching and learning of proof.
