The Caquetá has been one of the provinces hit hardest by the Colombian armed conflict, mainly because it is historical rearguard of the FARC. This has conditioned the exercise of political activity, forcing politicians to adapt to the presence of armed powers as the insurgent, paramilitary and the same State. In this violent process is configured the regional State.
