Abstract

This article is based on the analysis of government discourse. It digs into how the internationalization of the conflict was used as a foreign policy strategy. A poststructuralism approach, as well as the theory of critical studies is used as the analytical framework.

The paper brings back to discussion the old concept of internationalization, in order to use it for the understanding of foreign policy and intermestic construction of political discourses. The proposed critical analysis relies on the evidence about continuity and rupture of narratives in Colombia, and it also points out to some important discursive references that.
