Abstract

CELY MUNOZ, Nicolás. THE POST-CONFLICT STRUGGLE OVER TERRITORY IN RURAL COLOMBIA: THE CASE OF PEASANT AGROALIMENTARY TERRITORIES IN THE NORTH OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NARIÑO AND THE SOUTH OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CAUCA. anal.polit. [online]. 2018, vol.31, n.92, pp.52-68. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v31n92.71097.

The current article expounds on a case study involving the creation of peasant zones in the north of the Department of Nariño and the south of the Department of Cauca by peasant social movements under the auspices of Peasant Agroalimentary Territories. The foregoing is accomplished through identification of structural conditions which make the process of territorialization possible and through associated concrete peasant strategies. This reflection is set in the framework of a broader discussion regarding the right of rural peasant communities to develop territories in the context of the gamut of possibilities made available through implementation of the Peace and Integral Rural Reform Accords.

Keywords : Agroalimentary peasant territory; rural peasant community; territorialization; integral rural reform; territorial approach.
