Abstract

PEREZ VASQUEZ, Manuel Antonio. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY CHALLENGES IN COLOMBIA AGAINST THE CHALLENGES OF THE ORGANIZATION FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT (OECD) AND THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG). anal.polit. [online]. 2020, vol.33, n.99, pp.101-120. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v33n99.90970.

The objective of this article is to identify the environmental challenges in Colombia against the challenges of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Methodologically, the article is descriptive-analytical, based on obtaining information from secondary type sources. The findings obtained indicate that greater coordination and capacity are required among environmental organizations to establish more environmental control within the nation, and in concomitance, with the application of current environmental regulations. It is concluded that in Colombia, it is necessary to give a greater degree of compliance with environmental regulations, both national and foreign, due to the fact that there is a weak institutional commitment in the country against the demands of the OECD and the SDGs.
