The month of July of 2011 marked the 20th anniversary of Revista de Ingeniería at Universidad de los Andes. Based on the interviews conducted to the current and former two editors that the journal has had, the current article takes over the journal´s history with the purpose of commemorating its evolution and wide range of collaborations and contributions over the past two decades, which in turn have allowed the Revista de Ingeniería to keep driving the production of academic and scientific knowledge in the area of Engineering, in Colombia, Latin America and the World.
