Abstract

HIGUITA-LOPEZ, Daimer. From Personnel Management to Leadership. Innovar [online]. 2011, vol.21, n.40, pp.67-80. ISSN 0121-5051.

This document addresses the topic of the human factor in organizations in Bogotá. It seeks to set out a critical perspective on how certain companies "manage" their employees. It therefore starts with the question of whether or not these companies actually value people the way they say they do. The text looks at this matter from two perspectives: human resources management and human management. On the one hand, the article succinctly describes three fallacies in personnel management processes while, on the other hand, it points out certain elements that are excluded by the leadership of these organizations, such as the need for dialogue and the fact that everyone needs recognition from others in order to find ontological security.

Keywords : human resource management; human management; leadership; dialogue.
