Abstract

FERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ, Carlos Jesús. RELEVANCE OF THE MANAGERIAL DISCOURSE FOR ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES: REFLECTIONS DURING A PANDEMIC EVENT. Innovar [online]. 2020, vol.30, n.78, pp.35-48.  Epub Dec 10, 2020. ISSN 0121-5051.  https://doi.org/10.15446/innovar.v30n78.90313.

This work reflects on the importance of management discourse analysis for a critical program in organizational studies. With this objective, we explore the different dimensions of said discourse -such as its definition and means of dissemination-, the evolution of its contents over time, and its social and economic influence. Additionally, a reflection on the possible impact of coviD-19 on these speeches will be also included, considering the potential effects of the pandemic in a series of central parameters of such narratives. The paper will conclude with a call to researchers to carry out a critical analysis of this type of organizational discourses.

Keywords : Critical analysis; management discourse; organizational studies; managerialism; pandemic.
