Abstract

VILLA ROJAS, Yennifer Paola. Ammarantha Wass: Trans-Crooked Experience of a Teacher at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN). Nómadas [online]. 2020, n.52, pp.243-255. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n52a14.

This article is part of a doctoral thesis discussing the relationship between gender and disability, giving emphasis to the question about the trans-chueca experience of Rose Ammarantha Wass Suárez of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN). It establishes a dialogue between her autobiography and the theoretical framework of critical disability studies, feminisms, and feminist pedagogies with an anti-capitalist perspective. It points out that Wass, as a teacher in training, transgresses the university scene and its inclusion policies through a performativity embodied and affected by practices of gender and ableist violence.

Keywords : Disability; Trans-Crooked Experience; Gender; Practices of Violence; Transgressive Pedagogies; Teacher Training.
