Abstract

MUNOZ, Federico Guillermo. Constructive and productive conflict transformation: a pertinent and necessary approach in the peaces building processes in Colombia. Prospectiva [online]. 2018, n.25, pp.187-215. ISSN 0122-1213.  https://doi.org/10.25100/prts.v0i25.5953.

The political negotiation process of the “Mesa de Conversaciones para la terminación del conflicto y la construcción de una paz estable y duradera”, known as the “Peace Dialogues of Havana” (Cuba), materialized the end of the armed conflict between the colombian State and the Farc-EP, where the multiple and diverse contributions of this experience stand out to continue advancing in long and complex processes of peace building. It also allows us to reflect about the transformation of armed, social and political conflict, which is not equivalent to the sudden disappearance of the conflicts in colombian society, nor does it automatically lead us to peace. We propose in this article to consider the implementation of the constructive and productive conflict transformation approach, which opens the perspective of alternatives, and contributes to improve the understanding that we can have on armed posconflict, the peace building processes and the horizon of reconciliation.
