Abstract

ALUTIZ COLORADO, Juan Carlos. J. HABERMAS & J. RAWLS: THE POSTCONVENTIONAL MORALITY TO DEBATE. Pap.polit. [online]. 2007, vol.12, n.2, pp.369-390. ISSN 0122-4409.

Given the philosophical objective similarities found in the postconventional morality by J. Habermas and J. Rawls, the debate between them was inevitable, and finally it blossomed in the middle of the Nineties. The present article tries to give a revealing account of the main points of discordance between them both, as well as a balanced overview of the more solid arguments in the defense of their respective normative proposals.

Keywords : postconventional morality; Habermas; Rawls; Habermas; Jürgen; 1929; Philosophy thought; Rawls; John; 1921-2002; Philosophy thought; Debates and debating.
