Abstract

CASAS CASAS, Andrés  and  CORREA, María Elvira. ¿WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE ANDEAN COMMUNITY?. Pap.polit. [online]. 2007, vol.12, n.2, pp.591-632. ISSN 0122-4409.

The intention of this work is to offer an explanatory approximation to the process of the Andean Community using some tools of analytical political theory. To fulfill the above mentioned aim, three different perspectives are explored: Collective Action, Institutional Design and the organizations theory. We apply these tools to some episodes of the historical evolution of the CAN. Our intention is to explore alternative tools for the explanation, analysis and comprehension of the processes of regional integration.

Keywords : regional integration theories; Andean Community; Collective action; public goods; institutional design; organizations; Political stability; Andean Community; Regional integration; Theories; Economic integration.
