The family, being the basic cell of society, is the scenario where all possible social relations take place. Because of its intrinsically assistential character, it makes it possible for those who practice a profession -whether directly as in professions where assistential matters are the primary concern or indirectly in those where assistential matters are secondary- to cultivate in the family womb the attitudes that cause work to be something constitutively human.
