Abstract

TAPIERO-VASQUEZ, Elías  and  GARCIA-QUIROGA, Bernardo. Neo-Systematic Theory and Comprehensive institutional Development. educ.educ. [online]. 2008, vol.11, n.2, pp.213-226. ISSN 0123-1294.

The article contains two parts. The first looks at the more relevant aspects of Niklas Luhmann's theory of social systems, with its neo-systematic paradigmatic condition. In the second part, this theory - supplemented with contemporary developments in education, learning and administration - provides a frame of reference for a model to deal with the crisis in institutional integration at the elementary level of the school system in Colombia . The model in question contributes to intelligent school management and, from the standpoint of school micro-policy, it proposes new developments in geopedagogy.

Keywords : Theory of social systems; educational management; integrated development; curriculum evaluation; educational policy.
