Abstract
PAUKNER-NOGUES, Fraño; SANHUEZA-HENRIQUEZ, Susan and SAN MARTIN-RAMIREZ, Víctor Hugo. Assessment of Teaching Practice in the Chilean Education Reform. educ.educ. [online]. 2012, vol.15, n.3, pp.343-362. ISSN 0123-1294.
The objective of this study is to know how teachers feel about the Education Reform in Chile and its effects on the Language and Communication Program for fourth-year students (in secondary education). This is a qualitative research project, based on a case study and supported by ethnographic techniques. The findings show teachers view the reform as impracticable, given the inability to modify teaching practice per se. These reflections highlight a pending task that hinges on the need to training teachers to innovate in the classroom.
