Abstract
CARDONA, Luisa Fernanda and SOTO GIRALDO, Alberto. SUSCEPTIBILITY OF Diatraea saccharalis (F) (LEPIDOPTERA: CRAMBIDAE) TO DIFFERENT ENTOMOPATHOGENIC FUNGI IN SUGARCANE. Bol. Cient. Mus. Hist. Nat. Univ. Caldas [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.2, pp.95-103. ISSN 0123-3068. https://doi.org/10.17151/bccm.2015.19.2.6.
The entomopathogenic capacity of Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae and Paecilomyces lilacinus fungi was evaluated on larvae of Diatraea saccharalis in sugarcane. These fungi were evaluated individually and a mixture containing B. bassiana, M. anisopliae and P. lilacinus was compared with the chemical compound Spinetoram (Exalt)®. It was found that the B. bassiana fungus efficiently controlled the plague, becoming a viable option in order to regulate the populations of this insect pest.
