Abstract
LACUNZA, Ana Betina; CABALLERO, Silvina Valeria; CONTINI, Evangelina Norma and LLUGDAR, Anabel. Psychometric Study of the Antisocial Behaviour Questionnaire (CC-A) in early adolescents from Tucumán, Argentina. Psicol. caribe [online]. 2016, vol.33, n.3, pp.250-264. ISSN 0123-417X.
Antisocial behavior refers to a diversity of actions, which infringe social norms, and rules of living together. This antisocial behavior is marked out both by a social appraisal of the severity of the conduct and by its distance from the norms of a society. The aim of this work was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Antisocial Behavior Questionnaire (CC-A) in adolescents from Tucumán, Argentina. The CC-A and the BAS-3 Socialization Scale were administered to 511 adolescents between 11 and 12 years old who are attending school. A three factors solution, which explains the 35% variance was found, which was consistent with the original proposal. Chronbach's Alpha coefficients were adequate in Aggressiveness (.735), Isolation (.769) and Anxiety/Withdrawal (.681). Connections between CC-A and BAS-3 were established. Negative correlations between Aggressiveness, Consideration for others and Self-control were found, whereas positive ones between Isolation and Withdrawal were established. Afterwards, percentile categories of this version (CC-A of 28 items) were determined; 18% adolescents showed risk percentile in Aggressiveness and 20.9% in Isolation. The study provides data concerning the psychometric properties of the instrument in the local population, indicating its sensitivity to assess antisocial behavior.
