Abstract
MAYNEZ-GUADERRAMA, Aurora Irma. Supervisor support: Its influence on autonomy, cohesion, and perception of organizational support in a government agency. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2021, vol.37, n.160, pp.448-459. Epub July 01, 2021. ISSN 0123-5923. https://doi.org/10.18046/j.estger.2021.160.4195.
The objective of this work was to establish, in an agency of the Mexican public sector, whether the support provided by the supervisor influences the perception of organizational support, autonomy, and group cohesion. The research method was quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, and cross-sectional with a structural equation model. The results show that the perception of support provided by the supervisor favors autonomy, cohesion and the perception of organizational support. These findings allow for advancement in the knowledge on their effects in the governmental sector, a context that is scarcely researched. It is recommended that the effect of age on the relationship between the perception of support provided by the supervisor and cohesion be deepened studied, given the significant differences that were found associated with it.
