Abstract
PEREZ LONDONO, Sandra Milena; RODRIGUEZ GARCIA, Luis Fernando and MORA FLOREZ, Juan José. Composite load models in power systems for dynamical analysis: review and application. Tecnura [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.44, pp.171-189. ISSN 0123-921X. https://doi.org/10.14483/udistrital.jour.tecnura.2015.2.a13.
This paper is oriented to present a review of different approaches commonly applied to obtain composite load models used in electric power system studies. As presentation strategy, there is initially a detailed description and classification of the methodologies used to obtain composite load models, their different modifications and the use of new tools during the last years, according to the available information from more than 60 references found in databases. The advantages of composite load model are evaluated and highlighted at the final part of this paper, where its behavior is compared to the static load model and an analysis of the generalization capability considering different power system disturbances is presented. This research work is a useful reference in the discussion associated to applications of load modeling in electric power systems.
