In order to demonstrate the ability of the Colombian judicial system to comply with the duties regarding respect for and guarantee of human rights, this article analyzes national and international doctrine and jurisprudence regarding the incorporation of Inter-American parameters as determined by the Inter-American Human Rights System applied to the State's responsibility.
