Following the recovery and the renewed interest in the Anglo-Saxon academy by the work of the Marxist philosopher and sociologist Henri Lefebvre, I propose in the next pages a return to his writings. The aim will be no more than to rescue the key concepts and extract a synthesis of his urban thought that give, at the time, a fair measure of the radicality of the approach of urban totality suggested by Lefebvre in its application on the contemporary city.
