Abstract

PINZON, MARIBEL  and  LINARES, EDGAR L.. Diversity of lichens and bryophytes in the subxerofitic region of La Herrera, Mosquera (Cundinamarca-Colombia). I. Richness and structure. Caldasia [online]. 2006, vol.28, n.2, pp.243-257. ISSN 0366-5232.

The lichen and bryophyte diversity, in the subxerofitic region of La Herrera is evaluated, in terms of species richness and structure. The grasslands were the less diverse and in turn less uniform, while the gullies and the scrub were the most favorable for the development of the bryophytes. The lichens, in spite of being characteristic of naked floors and rocks, were best represented in the scrub, where they also had the highest values of uniformity. Aomobryum conicum, Calymperes erosum, C. rubiginosum, Campylopus surinamensis, Cephaloziella granatensis, Dicranella hilariana, Fissidens angustifolius, F. zollingeri, Frullania brasilensis, Lophocolea lepthanta, Orthotrichum cupulatum, Plagiochila aerea and P. pachyloma are new records for Cundinamarca.

Keywords : Bryophytes; alfa diversity; lichens; subxerofitic region; La Herrera.
