This study offers, within a theoretical perspective, a brief overlook view of the Thomist conception of emotions, its fitting in the cycle of conscious life, its genesis, classification, concatenation and dynamics. The article develops considerations on contributions that such theoretical terms of reference can offer to the study of emotions and infer some of its main ethical corollaries.
