Abstract

Through the centuries, society has had progressive changes and at present these are fast and include the exercise of the medical profession, which has lost its initial focus on the patient to focus on trade primarily interest, expense of respectful attention to patient. This article reviews the traditional essence of the profession, contrast it with the current situation and invites to recover medical practice patient-centered.
