Abstract

SALDARRIAGA, Wilmar  and  ISAZA, Carolina. Description of four cases defects of blastogenesis: limb body wall complex, OEIS complex and body stalk anomaly. Colomb. Med. [online]. 2005, vol.36, n.3, pp.209-214. ISSN 1657-9534.

The limb body wall complex, the complex OEIS, and the body stalk anomaly, are three entities that share incompatible structural alterations with the life and they have a very low prevalence in the general population. In literature the etiology of these pathologies has been studied separately. We described four cases that were born in Hospital Universitario del Valle, that fulfill the criteria diagnoses for these entities and we propose that all have in common the period where the defects take place, that correspond at the end of the blastogenesis (fourth gestacional week).

Keywords : Blastogenesis; Embrionary development; Limb body wall complex; OEIS complex; Body stalk anomaly.
