Abstract

As the result of a research, this article is focused on the enunciation of social representations of researchers from Universidad de Antioquia Law program in relation to legal research. The technique used for reaching this objective was the semi-structured interview performed to principal researchers from Universidad de Antioquia Law program. In contrast with theory, ideas, points of view, perceptions, opinions, and behavioral patterns are shown before the research issue. The argument on why to research and how to research in the field of law the criteria for selecting the topics to be researched and researchers' intention before research practice is posed. A discussion is made on the way social environment, including professional and family fields, provides the legal researcher a possibility to bring out problems concerning legal research.
