Abstract

ROJAS LOPEZ, Miguel David; ZULUAGA LASERNA, Esteban  and  OCHOA GIRALDO, Juliana. An Approach for Measuring Trust in Information by Applying a Fuzzy Logic System. Rev. ing. univ. Medellín [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.19, pp.113-123. ISSN 1692-3324.

This research paper first establishes a theoretical framework and a relationship between trust and information, and presents the concepts necessary for understanding the proposed model. Then, it sets out the role of information in the organization and how its management impacts the organization resources. Subsequently, a fuzzy logic model for trust in the information management is proposed, which assigns quantitative values to non-deterministic variables (qualitative) and then add them in a quantitative result. In the approach of this model the main variables of trust in the information and how they interacted, with the help of buyers and an expert panel were identified. Finally, some conclusions are presented.

Keywords : trust; fuzzy logic; information management; decision making.
