Abstract

Research on quality of children's life is a relatively recent topic. One aspect that has influenced the growing interest in learning about the young children's lives from their own perspective is the International Declaration on the Rights of the Child. To this respect this document has given the, besides legitimacy, a greater visibility, both in public and private areas. This paper reasserts the importance of further research about the actual living conditions of children in different contexts. It outlines significant researches in this field, because we desire to contribute to the necessary task of further inquire about the complexity of children's lives.
