Abstract
SOTO, Cristian David. The paternal and maternal international migration: a reading from the point of view of young people. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.1, pp.593-610. ISSN 1692-715X.
In this article I focus on the imaginaries constructed by young children (female and male) about three aspects of the international maternal and/ or paternal migration process. 1.Consultation, preparation and opinions regarding children's participation in the decisions to migrate; 2 Consistency between the imaginaries of the father and/or the mother (what they said) and those made by their children (processed and revalidated) and; 3. Hopes in terms of an efficient migratory exercise from the perspective of the children, after living, most of them, a migratory decade. This is a qualitative study with a hermeneutic approach. The information was collected through interviews to sixteen youngsters from the municipalities of Anserma, Manizales and Villa Maria-Caldas-, whose parents (father or mother) reside abroad.
Keywords : international migration; family; father; mother; young; appraisal.
