Abstract: Today's world The world today in all its complexity, requires different forms of education, since the ways in which children and young people learn have modifed due to the emergence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in so-called 'Knowledge Societies'. This implies a transformation of education systems to move towards constructivist models that put the student in the center and enhance their ability to learn in a networked and cooperative environment. This article describes the characteristics of todays societies that demand digital literacy and involve multiple pedagogical implications.
