Abstract
GONZALVEZ-TORRALBO, Herminia. History of a question: theoretical-methodological considerations regarding gender and kinship in colombian transnational migration. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2016, vol.14, n.1, pp.617-629. ISSN 1692-715X. https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.14142110515.
The aim of this paper is to show the reflections that accompany the construction of a research question from the perspective of feminist anthropology. Specifically, our interest lies in shedding light on how the dialogue between theory and the multi-sited ethnography about the social organization of transnational care in migration between Spain and Colombia affects and transforms the research question. As a result of this conversation between theory and practice we show, on the one hand, that the changes undergone by a question are inherent to a longitudinal ethnographic investigation, framed in a scenario of transnational mobility, and on the other hand, that the scientific production on migration still has to face many pending challenges.
