ACEVEDO-TARAZONA, Álvaro and CORREA-LUGOS, Andrés. New modes of youth protest and indignation in Colombia. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.2, pp.171-190. Epub Sep 22, 2021. ISSN 1692-715X. https://doi.org/10.11600/rlcsnj.19.2.4549.
Since 2011, young people have participated in different waves of protest to express their indignation, which invites us to rethink social mobilization and the role of social networks. It is important to ask, what are the impacts of the collective actions and discourses produced in these mobilizations? This article analyzes the new ways in which mobilizations are generated and the relevance of social networks to respond to problems such as the defense of education and protecting the environment. Using a qualitative and interpretive methodology that analyses the content of digital and physical media and magazines. By contrasting this information, new modes of mobilization are produced by the community and public opinion through online interactions and social networks.
